EU Urges Broader Talks on Iran Beyond Nuclear Issue
Kallas says sanctions alone insufficient, calls for comprehensive negotiations.
EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said sanctions have limited Iran’s capabilities but called for broader negotiations addressing missile programs, cyber threats, and regional activities.
Speaking after a ceasefire, she said the truce offers an opportunity for expanded talks aimed at long-term peace.
Kallas emphasized coordination with regional partners and reiterated the EU’s position on freedom of navigation and the need to include Lebanon in ceasefire arrangements.
