Inaugural Kurdish dance festival launches in Duhok, supported by Kurdistan24

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Duhok hosts the inaugural Kurdish Dance Festival, sponsored by Kurdistan24 media, promoting cultural exchange and celebrating the diversity of Kurdish heritage.

The first Duhok Dance Festival, themed "Shared Happiness" (Bi hev re dîlxweş in), commenced today at the conference hall of Duhok University, organized by the Sama Organization for Kurdistan Culture in collaboration with the Cultural and Social Center of Duhok University.

The festival spans two days of vibrant performances and cultural activities.

Featuring approximately 40 artistic groups from across the Kurdistan Region and beyond, the festival showcases a kaleidoscope of dance styles and musical performances.

Attendees will enjoy engaging panels, dance performances, red carpet events, and concerts featuring artists from all four parts of Kurdistan, as well as guests from within and outside the Kurdistan Region.

Adding to the cultural richness of the event, 26 boys and girls from across Kurdistan will showcase traditional Kurdish attire, highlighting the diversity and beauty of Kurdish clothing.

The festival serves as a platform for cultural exchange and solidarity, fostering a sense of unity and pride among Kurds from different regions. With Kurdistan24's support, the festival aims to promote Kurdish culture and heritage, celebrating the shared traditions that unite Kurds across borders.
