ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Robina Aziz, a former (MP) member of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) parliament from the National Union Coalition, a Christian party, has expressed her support for the upcoming elections.

Aziz confirmed that her party will participate in the elections and has candidates ready to run for seats in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament.

Speaking to Kurdistan24, Aziz, who represents the Chaldean, Syriac, and Assyrian communities, stated, “We welcome the date of the elections. As the Christian community, we have always advocated and backed the dates that were set for the elections.”

She emphasized the importance of holding the elections on October 20, noting, “There has been a great injustice against the communities, so we want elections to be held on October 20, and we have no objection to extending the registration deadline.”
