More than 80 skilled people in different fields, participated in Sulaimani festival

The festival week started in Sulaimani, to do marketing and promoting the local and traditional Kurdish products.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – It is the festival week arranged by Halala Group to the local products, to promote the local and traditional Kurdish handicrafts. The purpose is to promote, advertise and marketing the cultural and traditional products.

The location is in Azadi park in Sulaimani city, so to advertise the local and Kurdish traditional products. More than 80 skillful people in different fields participated in the festival. It will last for one week only.  

Shilan Mohammed is one of participant with special in need (visual impairment) stated to Kurdistan 24 “Such festivals and events are opportunities for us to show our work, abilities and creativity. Also to do retailing for our products, I have participated with handicrafts as you can see!”

Chra Tahir who supervises the festival stated “Our goal, in holding such festivals, is to support people with the skills, find job opportunity, help them to do marketing and promoting their product”

She added “These ladies who do the online work or cooking while online, but don’t have a place and want to find a location for their products. We annually held this type of festival, we think it is useful to them”

Such events are arranged in Sulaimani, for the younger generation to advertise their products and make it as a source of income. As well as find them job opportunities and become entrepreneurs.
