ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday for an official visit to Iraq, with plans to continue his trip to the Kurdistan Region on Thursday. The visit marks a significant step in the ongoing relationship between Iraq and Iran, particularly in light of the deep historical and cultural ties between Iran and the Kurdistan Region.
According to the Iranian Consul General in Sulaimani, Mohammad Mahmoudian, President Pezeshkian is scheduled to meet with senior regional officials in Erbil during his stop in the Kurdistan Region. The high-level meetings are set for Thursday morning.
