Two arrested, confess to killing Ramadi power plant director family

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iraqi security forces have apprehended and detained two individuals suspected of perpetrating a heinous crime in Anbar province.

The suspects, according to the Iraqi Interior Ministry, admitted their involvement in the brutal murder of the director of the Ramadi power plant, his wife, and a child.

Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, the spokesperson for the Interior Ministry, confirmed the arrests on Sunday.

"Anbar provincial police have successfully apprehended two suspects who were responsible for the tragic murder of a family member in the al-Baghdadi district," he stated. "The suspects were subsequently arrested, and the vehicle and firearm used in the crime were seized."

Miri further disclosed that the apprehended individuals have confessed to their involvement in the murders. "Both suspects have admitted to their crimes, and the necessary legal proceedings have been initiated to ensure they receive just punishment," he added.
