Kurdistan Region President condemns attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Barzani extended his condolences to the victims of the attack and voiced support for Turkey in its fight against terrorism.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in Ankara on Wednesday, expressing solidarity with the people of Turkey.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Barzani extended his condolences to the victims of the attack and voiced support for Turkey in its fight against terrorism.

"I condemn today’s terrorist attack in Ankara. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and I wish a swift recovery to the injured. We stand in full solidarity with the people and government of Türkiye against terrorism," Barzani wrote.

The attack took place in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara, where two armed individuals targeted the TUSAŞ facility. According to Turkish media reports, one of the assailants detonated explosives during a clash with security forces, leading to a deadly exchange. Four people were killed and 14 others were injured in the attack. Both gunmen were killed in the confrontation.

The incident has raised concerns over the resurgence of violence in Turkey, and officials have vowed to take swift action against any terrorist threats.
