PM Masrour Barzani welcomes Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani is visiting Erbil, on Wednesday and will be welcomed by the Kurdistan Region Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

The two Prime Ministers are expected to discuss the formation of the new cabinet of the regional government after the successful parliamentary general election took place in Kurdistan Region on October 20th, 2024.

Such significant visit and meeting are beyond measures, conferring on dedicating budget for the governmental employees, general population census, salaries, resumption of oil exports and many more issues will be discussed.

The consistent engagement between Kurdistan Region and Iraqi Federal Governments underscores the prominent dialogues, effective roles as well as fruitful cooperations established between them.

Particularly, both parties experience complex circumstance in the wider region alongside the wars, instability, rising tensions in the Middle East, regional governing, stability also security, economy, and resource management.

Those also the U.S. and coalition forces’ support to both Kurdistan Region and Iraqi Federal governments, have been and stay immense parts between both states.

Earlier this week, the Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) Spokesperson, Peshawa Hawramani told Kurdistan 24 that al-Sudani visit to Erbil is "important, positive and related to the political situation in the Kurdistan Region after the parliamentary elections”
