President Barzani, Czech Amb. Snaidauf discuss government formation, regional developments

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Tuesday, President Masoud Barzani received Jan Snaidauf, the new Czech Republic Ambassador to Iraq, in Pirmam.

According to the Barzani headquarters' statement, Karel Kortánek, the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Erbil, was also present at the meeting.

The Czech Ambassador extended his congratulations to President Barzani on Kurdistan Flag Day and the successful Kurdistan parliamentary elections.

Moreover, Amb.  Snaidauf expressed his hopes for positive dialogue among political parties to form a new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet.

The ambassador also emphasized the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Czech Republic, indicating his country's enthusiasm to develop these bilateral relationships across various areas.

For his part, President Barzani, while congratulating the ambassador on his new diplomatic posting, wished him success.

He pointed out that the relations between the Kurdish and Czech peoples are “historical”, expressing hope for further developing and reinforcing these ties.

Concerning the region's political process, President Barzani hoped that dialogues between Kurdistan's political parties would yield positive results in forming a new government cabinet, in line with the election outcomes.
