US forces bolster military presence in northeastern Syria amid rising tensions
The convoy was spotted traveling along the al-Hasakah-al-Raqqah highway, en route to Kobani, accompanied by an SDF military vehicle, according to the SOHR.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – A convoy of 50 trucks carrying Bremer walls entered Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)-controlled areas in northeastern Syria (Rojava) on Thursday, signaling heightened US military activity in the region, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.
The convoy was spotted traveling along the al-Hasakah-al-Raqqah highway, en route to Kobani, accompanied by an SDF military vehicle, according to the SOHR.
Sources from the observatory indicated that the delivery is part of ongoing efforts by US forces to reinforce existing bases and establish a new military facility in Kobani. This development comes amid increasing security threats and rising military tensions.
On Wednesday, SOHR sources reported that International Coalition forces transported a separate convoy loaded with logistical reinforcements. The shipment, directed toward Kobani, included prefabricated chambers, surveillance equipment, Bremer walls, fuel tanks, and excavating machinery.
Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that excavation and construction work is expected to begin on Friday, with additional reinforcements anticipated. The forthcoming shipments will include troops, weapons, armored vehicles, radars, and anti-aircraft systems.
The military build-up highlights Kobani's strategic importance and underscores the US commitment to maintaining a foothold in the region amid evolving security dynamics.
