President Barzani: Kurdistan Stands Ready to Support Peace Efforts in Turkey

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President Masoud Barzani, in a meeting with Adrian Eiselstein, the Consul General of the Netherlands in Erbil on Wednesday, reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to peace and stability, affirming his readiness to assist in any process that advances peace and resolution efforts in Turkey.
According to a statement from the Barzani Headquarters, the meeting focused on the Netherlands' recognition of President Barzani’s pivotal role in the political history of Iraq and the broader region, as well as his efforts in ensuring stability in the Kurdistan Region.
Consul General Eiselstein acknowledged the significance of the Kurdistan Region and reaffirmed his country’s readiness to strengthen bilateral relations in various sectors, particularly in agriculture, tourism, and environmental protection.
President Barzani expressed gratitude to the people and government of the Netherlands for their unwavering support of the Kurdish people during critical times. He also commended the contributions of Dutch military forces in supporting Kurdistan’s Peshmerga during the war against ISIS, under the framework of the international coalition. Barzani emphasized the importance of expanding diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the Kurdish and Dutch peoples.
