KRG Prime Minister Offers Condolences to Dr. Adil Bakhawan on the Passing of His Father

In a message of sympathy on Sunday, Prime Minister Barzani expressed solidarity with Dr. Bakhawan and his family, wishing them patience and peace during this difficult time.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has extended his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Adil Bakhawan, Director of the French Center for Research on Iraq, following the death of Dr. Bakhawan’s father.

In a message of sympathy on Sunday, Prime Minister Barzani expressed solidarity with Dr. Bakhawan and his family, wishing them patience and peace during this difficult time. The letter also asked for God's mercy upon the departed soul and for comfort to be granted to the bereaved family.

Dr. Adil Bakhawan is a Paris-based Kurdish sociologist and the founding director of the French Center for Research on Iraq (CFRI), established in 2021 to provide rigorous, independent analysis of Iraqi affairs. He has previously authored influential studies on Iraq and the Middle East. Bakhawan also serves as head of the Iraqi Sociology Center in Paris, regularly advising global media and think tanks on Iraqi politics and regional dynamics.
