PM Barzani Reaffirms Support for Kurdish Culture and Language

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday met with HamaSaeed Hassan, a prominent writer, critic, and president of the Kurdish Academy, to discuss strengthening the region’s cultural and literary landscape.
According to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), the meeting focused on enhancing the cultural sector, with particular attention to the promotion and preservation of the Kurdish language and literature.
Prime Minister Barzani emphasized the importance of supporting the Kurdish Academy and fostering the work of intellectuals and cultural institutions throughout the region. He also reaffirmed the KRG's commitment to encouraging the cultural and artistic movement in Kurdistan as a vital part of national identity and progress.
The Kurdish Academy plays a central role in preserving and developing the Kurdish language and heritage through research, publications, and educational initiatives.
