Ezidi Supreme Spiritual Council Head Condemns Drone Attack on PM Barzani's Office

In a statement on Monday, Mir Hazem Tahsin said dialogue and mutual understanding should be the only appropriate means of resolving disputes among all parties, without tensions or actions that could undermine security and stability.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Mir Hazem Tahsin Beg, head of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Ezidis, strongly condemned Monday’s drone attack targeting the private office of Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the headquarters of the Kurdistan Region Security Agency.

In a statement on Monday, Mir Hazem Tahsin said dialogue and mutual understanding should be the only appropriate means of resolving disputes among all parties, without tensions or actions that could undermine security and stability.

He stressed that such acts threaten the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region and the wider area, strongly condemning the attack and similar acts against the territory of the Kurdistan Region.

Mir Hazem Tahsin reaffirmed that the Kurdistan Region will remain a beacon of tolerance and a home to religious and cultural diversity and coexistence. He also called for strengthening the values of peace and coexistence and expressed hope for peace and tranquility around the world.

Earlier Monday, the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) said two Iranian-made Hadid-110 explosive drones targeted Prime Minister Barzani’s private office and the residence of the head of the Kurdistan Region’s Security and Intelligence Agency (Parastin).

No casualties were reported, while investigations into the extent of the damage were underway.
