UK Condemns Drone Attack on Prime Minister Barzani’s Office
In a statement posted on X, the British Consulate General in Erbil said the UK “strongly condemns” the attack and would continue to urge de-escalation while supporting efforts to protect stability in the Kurdistan Region.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The United Kingdom has strongly condemned Monday’s drone attack targeting the private office of Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in Pirmam.
In a statement posted on X, the British Consulate General in Erbil said the UK “strongly condemns” the attack and would continue to urge de-escalation while supporting efforts to protect stability in the Kurdistan Region.
Earlier Monday, the Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) said two Iranian-made Hadid-110 explosive drones targeted Barzani’s private office and the residence of the head of the Kurdistan Region’s Security and Intelligence Agency (Parastin).
No casualties were reported. Authorities said investigations were underway to determine the extent of the damage.
The attack comes amid heightened regional tensions and a series of drone attacks targeting locations across the Kurdistan Region.
