Steven Fagin Returns to Baghdad to Resume Role as US Chargé d’Affaires
The embassy said Fagin’s extensive regional experience will further strengthen the U.S.-Iraq relationship and advance a mutually beneficial future for Americans and Iraqis.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has welcomed the return of Ambassador Steven H. Fagin to Baghdad, where he has resumed his duties as Chargé d’Affaires.
“Welcome back to Iraq, Ambassador Steven H. Fagin, U.S. Mission Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires,” the embassy said in a post on its official social media page.
Fagin returns to Baghdad after serving as U.S. Ambassador to Yemen. He previously served as Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission in Baghdad, as well as Consul General in Erbil.
The embassy said Fagin brings extensive regional experience that will further strengthen the U.S.-Iraq relationship and advance a mutually beneficial future for Americans and Iraqis.
