ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Kurdistan Region's General Directorate of Meteorology and Seismology has forecast continued intermittent rainfall across Duhok province and the Zakho Independent Administration on Friday, Oct. 30, with showers and possible thunderstorms also expected in several other areas.

In its Friday weather bulletin, the directorate said skies would range from partly cloudy to overcast, with rainfall initially affecting Duhok and Zakho before extending to areas administered by Soran and Raparin, as well as Sulaimani and Halabja provinces.

The authority indicated that some periods of rainfall could develop into showers accompanied by thunderstorms.

Rainfall is expected to become less likely across the central and southern parts of the Kurdistan Region, where conditions are forecast to improve as the day progresses. The directorate said weather conditions would generally stabilize during the night.

Despite the unsettled conditions in some areas, temperatures are expected to remain close to Thursday's levels, with considerable differences between individual locations.

According to the directorate, Erbil is forecast to reach 26 degrees Celsius, while Sulaimani will record 24 degrees, Duhok 23 degrees and Halabja 27 degrees.

In other areas, Zakho is expected to reach 23 degrees Celsius, Soran 20 degrees, Pirmam 21 degrees and Chamchamal 27 degrees.

Garmian is forecast to record the highest temperature among the listed locations at 32 degrees Celsius, while Haji Omeran will experience the lowest projected maximum at 15 degrees Celsius.

The figures indicate varying daytime temperatures across the Region, with Garmian remaining considerably warmer than Haji Omeran and the northern areas.

The meteorological directorate's forecast points to continued rainfall in Duhok and Zakho, with intermittent showers extending to other northern and eastern areas, before more stable conditions return during the nighttime hours.
