KRG to participate in Global Media Congress in UAE

Participants will have the opportunity to convey messages, exchange views, enhance public relations, coordinate efforts, and foster media cooperation.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – A Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Department of Media and Information delegation, led by Dr. Jotiar Adel, will attend the Global Media Congress in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement from the Department.

The Global Media Congress is an annual gathering in the field of media that attracts participants from various centers, agencies, and media outlets from around the world. Providing a platform for communication and discussion, the Congress facilitates the exchange of ideas on the latest developments in the industry.

For 2023, the Congress is scheduled to take place from Nov. 14-16, with an anticipated attendance of 5,541 delegates from over 200 media companies, 170 keynote speakers, and the presentations of over 30 panels and media leadership conferences. A total of about 14,000 journalists, diplomats, and industry leaders are expected to attend the event.

“The upcoming conference will center on themes such as environmental protection, innovation, media technology, sports media, education, development, and artificial intelligence,” the statement read.

Participants will have the opportunity to convey messages, exchange views, enhance public relations, coordinate efforts, and foster media cooperation.

Over the three days of the Congress, the KRG is expected to convey the government's media strategy, which aims to strengthen its relationships with regional and international media by actively participating in panel discussions concerning relevant issues.
