PM Barzani thanks George W. Bush for his support to the people of Kurdistan Region

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – During his meeting with former US president George W. Bush on Thursday, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani thanked the former president for his “personal support to the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.”

“I was honored to see President Bush during my visit to the United States. I thanked him for his personal support to the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq; for liberating Iraq from a brutal dictator, and for backing the democratic process in the country,” Prime Minister Barzani wrote in a post on X.

“President Bush said he prays for the well-being of the peoples of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. He also expressed his warm regards for President Barzani,” Barzani added.

On Feb. 25, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani arrived in Washington, D.C. and met with senior US officials including Antony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State.
