Explosion targets vehicle of senior Kurdistan Democratic Party official in Kalar
According to a Kurdistan 24 correspondent, the blast occurred as the official was preparing to leave for work, with the vehicle exploding just moments before he could enter it.
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – In the early hours of Monday morning, an explosion targeted the vehicle of the head of the Kalar's 22nd branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in front of his residence.
While the official escaped unharmed, one of his personal guards sustained minor injuries.
According to a Kurdistan 24 correspondent, the blast occurred as the official was preparing to leave for work, with the vehicle exploding just moments before he could enter it.
The explosion resulted in minor injuries to a member of the protection team for the head of Branch 22 of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Akram Salih.
The incident also caused material damage, including the destruction of his vehicle and the shattering of windows in his house.
Security forces quickly responded to the scene of the explosion, and investigations are ongoing to identify those involved and the party behind the attack.
