In a bid to mitigate the coronavirus pandemic, the Kurdistan Region’s educational authorities decided to allow certain classes to resume in-class learning, including 12th graders and first and second elementary grades. In-class students are required to adhere strictly to precautionary measures, the KRG instructions noted, as students temperatures are checked before their entrance into classes.
Brochures are also hung on the school walls, containing awareness-raising information about COVID-19 symptoms and preventive measures.
The regional government previously announced it had allocated a special budget of over $450,000 for necessary purchases to combat COVID-19 in schools.
