ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Spokesperson Peshwa Hawramani today announced a series of high-level meetings to be held this week, aimed at resolving the ongoing issue of salary delays for KRG employees.

The announcement came during Hawramani's visit to Halabja Governorate, where he unveiled a slew of new projects and met with the two deputy governors to discuss the region's needs.

Hawramani assured the public that Prime Minister Barzani will personally oversee the Halabja projects, ensuring the governorate's demands are met "point by point."

Among the newly announced initiatives are the construction of a modern building for the Halabja Police Directorate and a new building for the Agriculture Directorate.

Furthermore, the government has earmarked 250 million dinars for the rehabilitation of Halabja's main street and allocated about 100 million dinars for two tourism projects in Bayara. In response to the cholera outbreak, the Halabja Health Directorate will receive 114 million dinars, as per a decision from the Prime Minister's Office.

Hawramani also confirmed the imminent implementation of the Halabja Industrial Zone and a decision by the Investment Council to exempt all projects in Halabja from fees. The regional government will soon announce a series of funded projects in Xurmal, with the goal of transforming Xurmal and Hawraman into a major tourist destination.

Addressing the pressing issue of salary delays for KRG employees, Hawramani stated that Prime Minister Barzani will lead critical high-level discussions this week to investigate the root causes of the delays.
