Kurdistan Region and Spain's Murcia cooperate in agricultural and commercial fields

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) –The Kurdistan Region and the Spanish province Murcia have decided to form a joint team to develop the agricultural and commercial sectors between the two sides.

That followed an official visit made by the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources from the Kurdistan Region Government, Begard Talabani, on Monday, to the Institute for Agricultural and Commercial Development in Murcia in Spain.

Talabani, accompanied by the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representative to Spain and Portugal, Darawan Haji Hamid, met with the Director of the Institute in Murcia, Joaquín Gómez Gómez and the assistant team.

In the meeting, discussed future cooperation projects between the two regions in common areas, such as agricultural innovation, the agricultural food sector, water, renewable energy, livestock and fisheries, and agricultural training.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides decided to form a joint team for the purpose of developing the agricultural and trade and business sectors between the Kurdistan and Murcia regions.
