PM Masrour Barzani met with Parliamentary State Secretary at Federal Minister of Defence, Siemtje Möller

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Federal Republic of Germany for the continuous support and assistance to the Peshmerga forces.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) - Kurdistan Region Government Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani met with the German delegation headed by the Parliamentarian Siemtje Möller, the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Defence on Wednesday.

During the meeting, enhancing bilateral relations between the region and German state, reforms in the Ministry of Peshmerga were discussed.

Furthermore, the security and military situations in Iraq and the wider region of Middle East were discussed.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Federal Republic of Germany for the continuous support and assistance to the Peshmerga forces.

Referring to the Kurdistan Region appreciation regarding the extending decision made by the German government and parliament on German forces in the Kurdistan Region.

It was agreed by both sides that the need to expedite setting the new government and its cabinet in the region.

The latest security tensions in the Middle East, was highlighted in the meeting as well as stressing the importance of maintaining the security and stability of the region.
