ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Hussein bin Ali, Consul General of Qatar in the Kurdistan Region, along with a delegation from the Doha-based satellite operator SoheilSat, visited the Kurdistan24 headquarters in Erbil on Sunday to explore avenues of media cooperation and information exchange.

The delegation was warmly received by Ahmed Zawity, General Director of Kurdistan24, who welcomed the initiative as a step toward enhancing cross-regional media relations. The visit centered around strengthening strategic coordination between Kurdistan24 and SoheilSat.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Doha, SoheilSat is one of the region’s leading satellite communication providers. The company plays a critical role in the transmission and global distribution of satellite television channels, offering robust services that cater to a wide range of broadcasters throughout the Arab world and internationally.

The meeting reflects Kurdistan24’s growing regional media presence and its commitment to fostering professional partnerships with international broadcasters. As media landscapes evolve across the Middle East, such cooperation could open new doors for cultural exchange, journalistic collaboration, and technological development in satellite broadcasting.

This visit also marks a continuation of Qatar’s diplomatic and economic engagement in the Kurdistan Region, especially in areas of investment, media, and communication infrastructure.
