Donald Trump: Iran Failed to Evacuate Nuclear Materials from Bombed Fordo Site

“Nothing was taken out of the facility. It would take too long, it’s too dangerous, and the materials are very heavy and hard to move,” Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social platform.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Iran was unable to evacuate any nuclear materials from its fortified Fordo facility, which was targeted by U.S. long-range bombers last week.

“Nothing was taken out of the facility. It would take too long, it’s too dangerous, and the materials are very heavy and hard to move,” Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social platform, referencing the underground site near Qom that was struck by B-2 bombers.

Trump dismissed reports suggesting Iranian activity around the site before the airstrike, clarifying that satellite images showing numerous trucks were not evidence of an evacuation. Instead, he said, the vehicles were part of efforts to reinforce the facility. “They were trying to protect Fordo with concrete to cover up the top of the shafts,” he wrote.

The Fordo nuclear site, built deep into a mountain, has long been a focal point for international scrutiny over Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This week's airstrike marks a significant escalation in U.S. efforts to deter Tehran’s nuclear activities.
