Kurdish Painter Nurik Musayan Wins Russian Foreign Ministry Award for Fifth Year
Musayan secured first place in this year’s competition, which brought together more than 300 painters from across the world, with his acclaimed work depicting Smolenskaya Square.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Russian Foreign Ministry has once again honored Kurdish painter Nurik Musayan with the prestigious Architecture of Diplomacy award, marking his fifth consecutive win at a ceremony in Moscow.
Musayan secured first place in this year’s competition, which brought together more than 300 painters from across the world, with his acclaimed work depicting Smolenskaya Square. The award was formally presented by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
According to the ministry, the international competition drew participants from Russia, the United States, Austria, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Nicaragua, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Syria.
At just 22 years old, Musayan has established himself as one of the most promising young artists in Moscow. Alongside his artistic success, he graduated with honors this year from the College of Architecture, earning an honorary Red Certificate degree. In recognition of his academic excellence, he has also been offered a fully-funded master’s program.
