Four Drones Crash in Kurdistan Region, No Casualties Reported

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Four drones crashed in separate areas of the Kurdistan Region’s Soran Independent Administration, Khalifan district and Hareer subdistrict early Wednesday, causing material damage to a civilian home and sparking a fire on a mountain, according to Kurdistan24’s correspondent in Soran.

Baker Sleman, Kurdistan24’s correspondent in Soran, reported that the four drones came down in different locations within the administrative boundaries of Soran, Khalifan and Hareer.

Initial information indicated that the incidents caused no casualties.

In central Soran Independent Administration, one of the drones crashed near a civilian home, causing material damage to the property.

Meanwhile, two other drones crashed near a village in the Khalifan district, according to the Kurdistan24 correspondent.

The fourth drone crashed on Bani Hareer Mountain within the boundaries of the Hareer subdistrict, triggering a fire among vegetation and dry brush on the mountain.

The circumstances surrounding the drones and the cause of the crashes were not immediately clear.
