ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Two explosive-laden drones targeted the private office of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister and the residence of the Director of the Protection (Parastin) Agency in Erbil Province early Monday, the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Directorate said.

According to the directorate, the attack occurred at 12:28 a.m. on August 17, 2026, when two "Hadid-110" drones were launched from across the Iranian border and targeted the facilities in the Pirmam district.

No casualties were reported in the attack, according to the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Directorate.

The directorate condemned the incident, describing the attacks as "entirely unacceptable" and holding those responsible accountable for the consequences of the actions.

The statement did not provide further details on damage caused by the drones or identify the perpetrators.
