ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain released its annual document CDP-0025 (2024) regarding the relationship between the UK and Kurdistan Region. They benefited from Kurdistan 24 as one of their resources in the annual UK Parliament CDP.

Relationship between the UK and Kurdistan Region of Iraq released as a document of 26 pages by the UK Parliament, House of Commons. It is conferring about every single aspect of the relationship with Kurdistan Region.

The document mentioned “The UK Government supports the territorial integrity of Iraq and in 2023 to aid the state with issues such as corruption, climate change, security, and to write NATO to warn Turkey from any activity that leads to instability in the zone.”

It sounds that UK watches closely all the activities on the ground, such as the water supply in north east Syria; according to the record a humanitarian issue was raised about water availability bilaterally with all parties in the region, including Turkey.

As highlighted, it also conferred issues such as corruption, climate change, and security, and then recorded the Minister of State for the Middle East Lord Tariq Ahmad’s visit in 2023 to Erbil where he met with the Kurdistan Regional Government KRG’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. It is recognized by the UK Parliament that the Kurds are one of the world’s largest peoples without a state. It’s highlighted that attempts were made to establish a statehood to this nation since 1990s, however the Regional Government (Sout of Kurdistan) codified in 2005.
