KDP Assumption, Electoral Campaign, Start Date
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – "We think it is unlikely for the election campaign to start on September 16th, 2024 because the process of candidates list verification is still in the process of auditing” a source from Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP to Kurdistan 24.
The same source assumed the start date of the electoral campaign could reschedule to the 20th of the month, as well as it believed that KDP is prepared in the best way for this election.
Depending on the commission’s statistics, 2.899.578 people in Kurdistan Region received their biometric voting and ballot cards, i.e. entitled to participate in the election, from that, 2.683.618 vote in publicly and 215.960 vote privately.
The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) prepared 1.431 polling stations, in which 1.266 are for the public and 165 for privately voting.
The Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) continues the preparation process, it is decided that the privately-voting process for the sixth round of the parliamentary election will hold on October 18th, and yet October 20th, is for the public.
