Nearly 20 female judges inaugurated in Kurdistan appellate courts

The Judicial Council of Kurdistan announced on Tuesday that nearly 50 new judges were inaugurated for its appellate courts, including 19 female judges.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Judicial Council of Kurdistan announced on Tuesday that nearly 50 new judges were inaugurated for its appellate courts, including 19 female judges.

They will be assigned to the appellate courts of the Kurdistan Region's Duhok, Erbil, Sulaimani, and Kirkuk provinces, as well as the Garmiyan Administration.

The council announced that ten more female judges became members of the public prosecutor.

Erbil's appellate court will have 12 judges, and the one in Sulaimani will have 17 judges, according to the council.

Duhok will have nine judges, while Kirkuk and Garmiyan will both be managed by nine judges.
