Russia to limit the presence of Ukrainian forces, foreign mercenaries on Russian territory, says Putin's advisor
This announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces are striving to consolidate their gains. Russia, meanwhile, accuses Kyiv of attempting to provoke a nuclear and humanitarian catastrophe.
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - In response to Ukraine's recent incursions into the Kursk region, Russian Presidential Advisor Valery Fadeyev has declared that Russia will take decisive action to expel Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries from Russian-held territory.
"Russia will take all necessary measures to limit the presence of Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries on Russian territory," Fadeyev told Kurdistan 24.
While he refrained from specifying a timeline for this action, he asserted with confidence that "they will all be deported from these territories, no one should have any doubts about that."
This announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces are striving to consolidate their gains. Russia, meanwhile, accuses Kyiv of attempting to provoke a nuclear and humanitarian catastrophe.
Military expert Mikhail Miyakhkov, speaking to Kurdistan 24, drew parallels between Ukraine's actions and those of Nazi Germany during World War II, stating, "The occupation of Ukraine reveals the true nature of the Kiev and Zelenskyy regimes. By occupying these areas of Kursk, they are repeating the actions of Hitler's troops in 1941-1943."
Miyakhkov further emphasized that Russia will respond forcefully to these incursions. "We will eliminate them," he declared. "There is no other way to fully respond to the attacks; preparations are nearing completion."
Violent clashes have erupted in the Kursk region since the Ukrainian army launched attacks on August 6th. The Russian Ministry of Defense has acknowledged suffering losses but maintains that their counter-offensive is ongoing.
This escalating conflict underscores the volatile situation in the region and raises concerns about the potential for further escalation. As Russia vows to expel Ukrainian forces from occupied territories, the world watches with bated breath, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
