Yildrim requests visa-free entry through Kurdistan 24 for Turkish businessmen, workers

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – Chairman of the Cizre Botan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Omer Faruk Yıldırım, stated to Kurdistan24 on Friday “the decision to grant visa-free entry for people over the age of 50 and under the age of 15 it’s been a good”
“Especially, for those with illnesses, including citizens from Kurdistan Region when they want to go to Turkey seeking medical treatment and business” He added.

When the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani visited Turkey, he was asked to issue a visa-free entry order for Turkish citizens, especially businessmen and workers, it was revealed by Yildirim.
In the interview, the chairman referred to the Iraqi Development Road, as a large and big project, which will play a positive role, benefiting Iraq, Turkey, the whole region and world.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan earlier, in this month, on August 15th, announced in a joint press conference with the Iraqi Foreign Minister, new visa measures for Iraqi people will be implemented from the beginning of September.

"During our President of Republic’s visit to Baghdad, it was agreed to remove visas requirements for people under the age of 15 and over the age of 50” Hakan announced in the joint conference “one of the decisions we made today, we decided to apply the visas-free entry from September 1st, 2024.”
On July 10th, 2024, both parties reached an agreement to issue a visa-free entry to people under the age of 15 and above the age of 50 for both sides.
According to the clarity made by the Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister, Omar Barznji, the agreement officially applies soon, but the visa requirement remains the same for other age groups.
