Flights resume at Erbil International Airport after temporary suspension
The airport is now working closely with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority to reorganize flight schedules, addressing any delays or adjustments caused by the suspension.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Ahmed Hoshyar, Director of Erbil International Airport, confirmed on Thursday that flights between Erbil and other countries have resumed after a brief suspension.
The airport is now working closely with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority to reorganize flight schedules, addressing any delays or adjustments caused by the suspension.
Hoshyar told Kurdistan24 that operations at the airport have returned to normal. "Flights have resumed, and we are ensuring that those affected by the delays are accommodated," he added.
On Tuesday night, flights to and from Iraqi and Kurdistan airports were suspended following an Iranian missile attack on Israel, which led to the closure of Iraqi and Kurdistan Region airspace.
The Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, announced the reopening of Iraqi airspace on Wednesday night, allowing flights to resume at the country’s airports.
However, no official count of canceled flights has been disclosed.
