Arab League Committee meets in Aqaba to chart political transition for Syria
The meetings will explore ways to back a Syrian-led all-inclusive political process to attain a transition in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Saturday, the Kingdom of Jordan is set to host an Arab and international meeting to discuss developments in the Syrian situation, according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).
The agency reported that the Arab Ministerial Contact Committee on Syria, which has been established by a resolution of the Arab League, will gather for a meeting in Aqaba at Jordan's invitation.
The committee includes the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Iraq, the Lebanese Republic, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
Foreign ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain (current president of the Arab Summit), and Qatar are also scheduled to attend the meeting.
According to the sources, the Arab foreign ministers attending the committee are later set to hold discussions with foreign minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, as well as US Special Envoy for Syria.
The meetings will explore ways to back a Syrian-led all-inclusive political process to attain a transition in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
This process intends to realize the ambitions of the Syrian people, safeguard the rebuilding of Syrian state institutions, and maintain Syria's unity, territorial integrity, sovereignty, security, stability, and the rights of all its citizens.
