Erbil (Kurdistan24) – On Thursday, according to state news agency SANA, Syria's security forces launched a crackdown against pro-Assad militias in the western province of Tartus.
The operation came a day following violent clashes with gunmen linked to the ousted government of Bashar al-Assad.
