Powerful Explosions Rock Tehran Amid Ceasefire Announcement by U.S. President
Explosions rocked Tehran just as U.S. President Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The Israeli army had warned residents in central Tehran ahead of the strikes. The incident casts doubt on the durability of the “12 Day War” truce.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — A series of powerful explosions struck Tehran in the early hours of Tuesday, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran and Israel had reached a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE”.
According to AFP correspondents on the ground, the blasts occurred around 2155 GMT. The Israeli army had earlier issued a warning on social media, urging residents to evacuate an area in central Tehran. The warning included a map highlighting an evacuation zone covering part of District 7 in the capital.
The new wave of attacks in Tehran comes shortly after President Trump posted a statement on his Truth Social account, announcing a ceasefire agreement between the two adversaries.
The statement said the ceasefire would begin approximately six hours from the time of the announcement and would include a 12-hour lead ceasefire by Iran, followed by a 12-hour ceasefire by Israel. Trump referred to this sequence as marking the official end of what he called “THE 12 DAY WAR.”
“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!” Trump wrote, praising both nations for choosing diplomacy over prolonged conflict. He emphasized that continued war could have “destroyed the entire Middle East,” and expressed optimism that the ceasefire would hold.
Despite the ceasefire announcement, the renewed explosions in Tehran have raised concerns over the fragility of the agreement and the broader implications for regional stability.
