Iran Reports Over 1,200 Dead Amid U.S.-Israeli Attacks, Health Infrastructure Damaged
The Iran Ministry of Health reported over 1,200 fatalities and roughly 10,000 injuries during the first nine days of joint United States-Israel attacks, including 200 children and 200 women. The strikes severely damaged healthcare infrastructure, rendering nine hospitals non-operational and destroying 18 emergency centers and 14 ambulances, hampering medical response. Cities affected include Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, and Kermanshah, with damage to fuel facilities and government buildings. Despite these challenges, medical teams continue providing care under difficult conditions. Iran reported retaliatory strikes on Israeli and U.S. positions in the region. Authorities are working to restore services and support displaced patients and staff.
