ERBIL (Kurdistan 24)—On Saturday, under the auspices of Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the first round of youth training graduation ceremonies will be held in Erbil.
Over 4,200 young people from the Kurdistan Region will celebrate their successful completion of the initial phase of the Kurdistan Region’s Youth Training course.
The ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, will be attended by consular representatives from various countries and governmental officials from both the Kurdistan Region and Qatar.
A memorandum of understanding with the Qatar Foundation will be signed during the event, further solidifying the partnership.
The six-month training program, supervised by the Office of Initiatives and Relations in the Prime Minister’s Office, provided extensive training to young people from the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdish diaspora. The course aimed to educate participants and enhance their sense of national pride.
The memorandum of understanding between the Office of Initiatives and Relations and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development will focus on developing the skills of the Kurdistan Region’s youth, supporting university and college students, and launching several other projects.
The Importance of the Qatar Foundation
The Qatar Foundation co-founded and chaired by Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Missned, the mother of the current Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, oversees education, health, university, school, and youth skills projects in Qatar. It is the largest state-owned non-profit organization in the country.
This collaboration marks the first time the Qatar Foundation has partnered with the Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister’s Office on a joint project, heralding a new era of educational and developmental cooperation.
