Air Ambulance service operates in Erbil
According to the sources within the court, between 3000-5000 people visit their building daily and several urgent cases require the medical attention.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – It is decided to provide an Air Ambulance Service to emergency cases that occur in the court building in Erbil city, due to the traffics on the roads.
In an interview arranged by Kurdistan 24, on August 20th, it is mentioned that, last year, a request was made by the Directorate Office at the Court in Erbil, requiring an urgent ambulance service.
The response to the request came along, and the first test of transporting a patient by a helicopter to the hospital of West (Rojawa) in Erbil took place.
It was tested on the Erbil court building, the emergency service helicopter (ambulance helicopter) transported a patient to the hospital, according to the statement by the helicopter medical team, it arrived within few minutes.
The Admin Management Board at the Erbil Court underlined that they had requested the Ministry of Health to arrange a medical team inside the Erbil Court.

It is the first time such test took place, a medical care was provided; a helicopter landed on the court building, basic medical care was given to the patient and then transported by the helicopter urgently to the designated Accidents & Emergency department in Rojawa (West) hospital.
A tragic accident occurred, last year, in the same court; a solicitor would faint, but due to the delayed medical service, the solicitor passed away.
It was reported the solicitor had suffered a stroke, “he would have been rescued if there was a fast transportation service available at the time” A legal advisor stated.
“He died before being taken to the hospital due to the delay of the ambulance team” Another solicitor revealed to Kurdistan 24.
