Iraqi FM inaugurates embassy in Dublin, aims to strengthen bilateral ties

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein officially inaugurated the Iraqi Embassy in Dublin, Ireland, marking a significant step in strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations. During the ceremony, Hussein emphasized the importance of this new diplomatic mission, stating that the embassy will enhance collaboration between Iraq and Ireland in key sectors, including politics, economics, science, and culture.

"The opening of the embassy will deepen relations between our two countries and expand opportunities for cooperation in various fields," Hussein said. He highlighted the broader goal of Iraq’s foreign policy, which includes expanding its diplomatic presence worldwide to achieve Iraq's political objectives.

Hussein also acknowledged the role of the Iraqi diaspora in Ireland, noting that the community plays a vital role in fostering closer relations between the two countries. The new embassy is expected to serve as a key platform for advancing bilateral engagement and providing services to the growing Iraqi community in Ireland. 

The inauguration represents Iraq's continued efforts to build stronger international partnerships and enhance its global diplomatic network.
