ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Iranian intelligence services have arrested 26 individuals accused of collaborating with Israel during the recent 12-day war between the two countries, Iranian state media reported Wednesday, according to AFP.

The arrests were carried out by the Intelligence Organization of the Hazrat Vali Asr Corps, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iranian Fars news agency said.

“These individuals were identified as operatives and deceived participants in the recent imposed war by the Zionist regime,” the report stated. “Most of them have confessed to their actions, including anti-security activities, spreading public anxiety, and acts of sabotage.”

The announcement came shortly after Israeli military chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir revealed that Israeli special forces had operated inside Iranian territory during the conflict. In a televised address, Zamir said, “We achieved full control over Iranian airspace and in every location where we chose to operate… thanks to coordination and tactical deception carried out by our air force and ground commando units.”

He added that these operations gave Israeli forces “freedom of action” inside enemy territory.

Earlier on Wednesday, Iran also announced the execution of three men accused of spying for Israel. Tehran frequently reports the detention and execution of individuals allegedly connected to foreign intelligence agencies, particularly Israel’s Mossad.

The recent conflict, which lasted nearly two weeks, ended with a ceasefire that came into effect on Tuesday. Both Iran and Israel have since claimed victory.
