U.S. Central Command Reports Extensive Strikes on Iranian Military Targets

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that its ongoing Operation Epic Fury, launched on Feb. 28, has successfully struck over 9,000 targets across Iran.

CENTCOM reports that the campaign has involved more than 9,000 combat flights and has damaged or destroyed over 140 Iranian vessels. The U.S. military has targeted a wide array of Iranian military assets, including:

- Command and Control Centers and IRGC Headquarters

- Intelligence sites and military communication capabilities

- Ballistic missile sites and surface-to-air missile facilities

- Iranian Navy ships and submarines, including anti-ship missile positions

- Weapons production and storage bunkers

- Integrated air defense systems and drone manufacturing facilities

CENTCOM has employed a broad range of assets in the operation, spanning air, sea, and land platforms. These include B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers; F-15, F-22, F-35, and F-18 fighter jets; reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft; MQ-9 drones; nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines; guided-missile destroyers; and advanced missile defense systems such as THAAD and Patriot Interceptor units.

CENTCOM emphasized that the strikes are focused on locations that directly threaten regional and international security, aiming to neutralize Iran’s ability to conduct further military operations.

Officials report that the operation is ongoing, with U.S. forces continuing to monitor and strike priority targets.
