Kurdistan Region, India stress on fostering bilateral ties

They also discussed expanding bilateral relations in the sectors of investment and trade.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with the Indian Ambassador to Iraq Prashant Pise on Monday in Erbil and discussed the development of bilateral ties between Erbil and New Delhi. 

Barzani received Pise, along with India's Consul-General in Erbil Subhash C. Kain. They discussed the latest political developments in Iraq, including the post-election situation in the country, a press release from Barzani's office noted.

They also discussed expanding bilateral relations in the sectors of investment and trade.

In his latest interview with Kurdistan 24, Consul General Subhash C. Kain previously said: "the possibilities of the Kurdistan Region as an investment avenue need to be further explored by Indian business community."
