PHOTOS: Greece closes its doors to immigrants

Greece announced on Saturday that it will no longer accept the unofficial entry of immigrants through its borders, while thousands gather at the Greek border as Ankara announced that it will not prevent their passage into Europe.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Greece announced on Saturday that it will no longer accept the unofficial entry of immigrants through its borders, while thousands gather at the Greek border as Ankara announced that it will not prevent their passage into Europe.    

A Kurdistan 24 correspondent reported, “Thousands of immigrants are stuck on the Greek border with Turkey following Greece’s decision to not allow them in.”

Pictures taken by Kurdistan 24 show immigrants from different nationalities, including Syrians and Iraqis, with the majority of them being women and children gathered on the border.
